Rose E. Blunt of Springfield, IL passed away on January 10, 2021 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born in Pleasant Plains, IL on June 27, 1937 the daughter of George and Daisey Clements.
Rose was passionate for her work. She spent more than 32 years a Memorial Medical Center as a nursing assistant and she loved her patients.
Rose also enjoyed crocheting in her free time and would later take up puzzle books and craft books for fun. She always loved taking pictures with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Blunt; her parents; brothers, Vic Conner, George Clements, and Robert Clements; and her sisters, Mary Ann Tice, Lilly Eskew, and Violet Buhl.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Mary Joann Shanks (husband, Bruce) of Springfield and Teri Carlisle (husband, John) of Rochester; 3 grandchildren, Christy Oliphant, Barbara Kriener, and Jacob Shanks; 8 great grandchildren, Leah, Hannah, Norah, Mackenzie, Natalie, Lacie, Jacob, and Sawyer; and her sister Polly Taapken.
Cremation services will be accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield.
A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Plains Cemetery on Monday January 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., where Rose will be laid to rest next her husband Bernard.
