Mary Louise (Heaton) Seagle, 90, of Springfield, IL passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021.
Mary was born in Springfield, IL on February 19, 1930 the daughter of Howard E. and Amelia C. (Neuman) Heaton. She was one of 10 children.
On November 11, 1950 she married George L. Seagle of Springfield and they had 4 children together.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her son, George “Satch” Seagle (Diane); daughter, Mary Lou Ann Washington (Wallace); daughter, Becky Cole; daughter, April Seagle; brother, Robert Heaton of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Troy Horn (Sara), Kimberley Horn, Mandy Smith, Nathaniel “Nate” Knuckey, and Ariel Knuckey; great grandchildren, Nakota Horn, Carol Janson, Ashley Janson, Kaliyah Griggs, and Wilder Knuckey; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her 2 cats, Charlie and Cally.
Mary started and ran an In-Home Day Care for several years in Springfield. She then went to work for Marine Bank (Chase) before retiring after many years later. She collected miniature tea sets and loved her flower garden. She also enjoyed traveling and antiquing with friends.
Mary loved her family and also loved and served the Lord, God. She was a pianist at her church, Sherman Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years.
Mary will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL next to her husband. A private family graveside is being held.
