Linda Lee (Goby) Heissinger

Linda Lee (Goby) Heissinger, 86, of Rochester, died on Friday, January 22, 2021 in Springfield. 
She was born on December 26, 1934, the daughter of Lee W. Goby and Helen (Chittick) Goby. Linda married John T. Heissinger on May 31, 1951 and he preceded her in death in August of 2004.
Linda raised 4 children, kept an immaculate house, was a wonderful cook and canner. She was also a very talented seamstress and quilter along with many other needle crafts.  After helping John on the farm, she worked in several sewing and Quilt shops. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles of all sorts and music  and served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Springfield North Congregation.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack and Robert Goby and two nephews Rhett and Rick Goby.
Linda is survived by her son, Mark (Linda) Heissinger, of Rochester; daughters Gail (Ronnie) Collins, Janet Roberson both of Aiken, S.C. and Beth (Todd) Winning of Rochester; beloved grandsons, Ross (Brandi) and Grant Winning of Springfield; two great grandchildren Jaidyn and Olivia Winning and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes no memorial service will be held. The family will have private graveside services at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.
