Larry Leonard Obituary

Larry G. Leonard, 70, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Larry was born on April 27, 1953, in Springfield, the son of Robert “Tom” and Marilyn (Moomey) Leonard. He married Jackie Connell on September 27, 1985. Larry enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, road trips, birdwatching, and spending time with his kids and granddaughters. He enjoyed watching the Illini and the St. Louis Cardinals, going on tropical vacations, canoeing with his canoe group of friends, playing golf once a year in the Meister Tournament, and taking the road less traveled. Larry was always taking a different route to get somewhere.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
