James M. Krstulovich Sr.

James M Krstulovich Sr. passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at St John Hospital, Springfield, IL. He was surrounded by family. 

Jim was born January 9, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Emma Magazzeni Krstulovich and Edward Krstulovich. Jim married Kathy Miller on June 4, 1977 in Elgin IL. 

He was preceded in death by his father, an aunt, and two uncles.

He was a devoted dad, to James M. Jr. (Ashley), Robert J, Edward A, and Teresa M Krstulovich, all of Springfield. He was a loving Papa to Mira, Bobby, and Hunter.

Jim passed after a brief illness; however, he struggled over 30 years with multiple sclerosis and its many complications. We rejoice in knowing he is walking and reuniting with his dad, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. I see a ping pong game with J, or a discussion about computers.

Jim was an awesome dad who taught his two sons Jim Jr. and Bobby how to be good dads too.  His son Kris (aka Edward), and daughter Teresa also benefitted from his love and guidance.

Prior to MS, Jim enjoyed building models and rockets. Even at Auburn Rehab and Nursing facility, where Jim resided the last 9 years, they built and launched rockets.

There will be no memorial or funeral services. The family will build a rocket and launch some of his ashes in his honor at a future date.
