Lucinda Arnold Obituary

Lucinda Sue Arnold, 58, of Bloomington, IL, died on Monday, January 4, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

Cindy was born on February 17, 1962 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Mildred and Edwin Carson. She married David F. Arnold, Jr. on November 22, 1986 in Springfield, IL.

Cindy was a woman of strong faith. Her favorite bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11. While Cindy battled many health issues, she always smiled, remained positive, and kept her trust in the Lord. She also wanted to be remembered for more than the many illnesses she fought.

Cindy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her children with all she had and loved being a grandma. The most important thing to her was spending time with family and friends. Cindy's ideal family night included playing a round of Rummy or watching a feel-good movie.

Cindy was a very skilled crafter that did everything from crocheting to scrapbooking. She made countless special handmade gifts for her family. She really wanted those around her to know how much she cared about them. She also LOVED basketball and was dubbed the nickname "SportsCenter Cindy."

Cindy never went a day without Diet Pepsi. She enjoyed Chinese food and just about anything chocolate. She collected Willow Tree Angels and appreciated good smelling lotions and perfume.

Cindy graduated from Williamsville High School in 1980. She worked as a Medical Billing Specialist for SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Arnold Jr., and mother, Mildred Carson.

Lucinda is survived by her beloved children, David (Jessica) Arnold of Mahomet, IL, Nicholas (Bekah) Arnold of Bloomington, IL, and Amber Arnold of Bloomington, IL; one precious princess grandchild, Kaylee Arnold of Mahomet, IL; father, Edwin Carson of Sherman, IL; sisters, Cathy (Scott) Siders of Sherman, IL, and Cheryl (Jon) Tadsen of Pawnee, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Due to current pandemic conditions, the family will hold a private memorial service on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Living Faith Baptist Church in Sherman, IL. Cindy’s ashes will then be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield, IL. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date. Details to follow.
