Kelly Shepard

James “Kelly” Shepard, 50, of Springfield, IL passed away on Monday January 11, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Springfield, IL on October 30, 1970 the son of James and Karen Shepard.

Kelly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also liked playing video games and his favorite food was pizza and ice-cold chocolate milk; he was a kid at heart.

Kelly would also like to sing and was a huge music lover. He would spend lots of time with his daughter and family doing art and painting for fun.

Kelly will be remembered as a very loving and caring father.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Shepard.

Kelly is survived by his daughter, Samantha Shepard of Springfield; mother, Karen Shepard of Springfield; sisters, Crystal (Chris) Emery of Springfield and Brittney Shepard of Gilbert, AZ; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation services will be accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date; contact the family for further details.
