Marvin Fuller Obituary

Marvin Ray Fuller, 79, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 surrounded by his family at home, after a valiant battle with cancer. Marvin was born in rural Williamson County on October 31, 1944, the son of Kenneth and Bonnie (Stilley) Fuller. He married Wanda Grider and she preceded him in death in 1996. Marvin then married Pearl Snyder and she survives.

Marvin served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved woodworking, serving in various churches as a Sunday school teacher, small group leader, music minister and church planting. He also enjoyed being with family and riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Marvin worked for Illinois Bell, Bell Labs, Ameritech and the Rochester School District. He was also a member of Rochester Christian Church.

Music was central to all aspects of his life, especially southern gospel and quartets.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; and brothers, Gene & Lyndell Fuller.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; daughters, Amy (Wes) Heaton, and Bethany (Tim) Kjellesvik; grandchildren, Sofia and Beau Kjellesvik as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Rochester Christian Church, 325 S. Walnut St in Rochester.

An additional visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, from 9:30AM until the time of the funeral at 11:00AM at the church with Pastor Brad Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where Marvin will receive military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to Rochester Christian Church.

Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
