Randy J. Poggemiller, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.

Randy was born on January 20, 1956 in Springfield the son of Albert H. “Bud” and L. Jean Painter Poggemiller.   He married Deborah “Debbie” Monroe on August 27, 1977 in Springfield; she preceded him in death on August 27, 2009.

He was a graduate of Springfield High School.  He worked as a cement mason for over 35 years and was a member of Plasterers and Cement Masons Local #18.

He was also preceded in death by his father; daughters, Jessica and Alyssa Poggemiller; and two sisters, Joan Bivens and Jean Jamison.

He is survived by one son, Justin (Tasha) Poggemiller of Griggsville; mother, L. Jean Poggemiller of Springfield; two sisters, Susan (Jeff) Bivens of Springfield and Shirley (Bennett) Wilson of Edwardsville; and one grandson, Zane Poggemiller.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Monroe officiating.  There will be a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at The Bird Tavern, 1451 W. Jefferson St., Springfield, IL.
