LeRoy “Pete” Karrick Jr 80, of Riverton, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Pete was born on July 1, 1937 to LeRoy “Lee” Karrick Sr and Berniece Courtney Karrick in Springfield. He married Sarah Snyder-Cooper on December 2, 1966.
He was employed by Weaver Mfg. and retired from Precision Products. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping especially with family.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Lenora (Jeff) Pulcher of Springfield; two sons, Brian (Janet) Cooper of Mechanicsburg and LeRoy (Kristi) Karrick III of Riverton; three brothers, Charles (Nancy) Karrick of Illiopolis, David (Martha) Karrick of Riverton and Arthur (Penny) Karrick of Auburn; five grandchildren, Jessica Pulcher of Springfield, Jeremy (Suzanne) Pulcher of Des Moines, IA, Monica Cooper of Rochester, Cody Karrick and Alyssa Karrick both of Riverton; five great-grandsons, Parker, Alex, Jeffrey, Leland and Walker; brother-in-law, John (Dorris) Snyder of Taylorville; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy DeVon of Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Ellinger Kunz and Park Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Fr. Tom Holinga officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital (CMN).
