Juanita M Filitti, 87, of Springfield passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her daughters.

She was born on July 14, 1929 in Assumption the daughter of Cecil “Pete” and Inez Curry Phelps.  She married Ray L. Filitti on June 2, 1951 in Chicago; he preceded her in death on November 13, 2012.

Juanita was a loving wife and mother.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Frances Gilmore and one in infancy.

She is survived by two daughters, Rae L. and Lia A. Filitti both of Springfield; and six nieces and nephews

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Father Jeffrey Grant officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Memorial Home Hospice.
