Frances Elaine Hickman, 81, of Springfield, formerly of Tri-City, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

Frances was born on March 10, 1936 in Buffalo the daughter of Paul and Viola Lane McCubbin.  She married Benjamin Hickman on November 12, 1961; he preceded her in death in March 2008.

Frances drove a school bus for Tri-City School District for 34 years.  She loved riding horses and went on a hundred mile ride.  She was a longtime member of Buffalo Christian Church.  She loved to read and enjoyed anything Native American. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Kathleen McKay.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean (Ron) Thorn; two sons, Joe (Tammy) and Nicholas Hickman; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Joyce) McCubbin; one sister, Paula (Mick) Bell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating.
