Donald Ray Beck, 77, of Rochester, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

Don was born on June 27, 1939 the son of George and Isabel Campbell Beck. He married Martha Saums on May 2, 1967

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and stationed in Germany.  He was a member of the VFW and the DAV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard “Dick”, Gary and Mike Beck; and one sister, Doris Price.

Don is survived by his wife, Martha; two daughters, Christy Hopper of Galena, and Donnetta (companion, Shane Breeding) of Ft. Meyers, FL; four brothers, Bud Beck of Rochester, Pete (Sharon) Beck of Jacksonville, FL, Jack (Arlene) Beck of Springfield, and Larry (Connie) Beck of Spaulding; three sisters, Barbara Monroe of Springfield, Georgia (Bud) Elmore of Grants Pass, OR, and Linda Krepel of Buffalo; and many nieces nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  There will be an additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the funeral home with Delbert Penrod officiating. Burial will be follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
