Carl Jiannoni, 91, of Rochester, died on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Life's Journey Senior Living in Taylorville, IL.

Carl was born on March 24, 1925 in Springfield, the son of Salvatore and Lena Jiannoni He Married Betty Price in July of 1948 in Springfield, she preceded him in death.

Carl was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII.  He worked as a lineman for CWLP retiring in 1982.  He enjoyed small craft, horses and riding motorcycles.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Jiannoni; and sister Mary Hughes.

He is survived by daughter, Barbara (Walter) Stokes of Edinburg, son, Carlo Jiannoni Jr. of Athens; grandchildren, Betty Jo Stokes of Putnam Valley, NV, Shentani (Michael) Nemeti of Niles, MI. and Shawna (Jeff) Mansager of Glen Burnie, MD; and great-grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Nemeti, and Oliver J. Mansager. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home with Fr. Manny Cuizon officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's association.
